तं ह पुत्रमुवाच श्वेतकेतुं गच्छ याजयेति।
taṃ ha putramuvāca śvetaketuṃ gaccha yājayeti |
"Aruni sent his son Shvetaketu, saying: "Go, you conduct the sacrifice.""
What This Means:
Aruni sent his learned son Shvetaketu to perform the priestly duties in his place.
Going Deeper:
Shvetaketu is the same student from the Chandogya Upanishad who received the "Tat Tvam Asi" teaching. Here we see him as a young priest, not yet humbled.
