ya eṣa supteṣu jāgarti kāmaṃ kāmaṃ puruṣo nirmimāṇaḥ | tadeva śukraṃ tadbrahma tadevāmṛtamucyate | tasmiṃllokāḥ śritāḥ sarve tadu nātyeti kaścana | etadvai tat ||

""That Purusha who remains awake in those who sleep, creating desire after desire - that alone is the Pure, that is Brahman, that alone is called the Immortal. In it all worlds rest; none goes beyond it. This verily is That.""

What This Means:

While the body sleeps, the Self stays awake, creating dreams. This pure, immortal Self is Brahman. Everything rests in it; nothing transcends it.

Going Deeper:

The dream-creator reveals the Self's independent activity - it doesn't depend on waking consciousness.

How To Apply This:

What creates your dreams? That awareness is the immortal Self, always awake.
