Katha Upanishad 4.6

यः पूर्वं तपसो जातमद्भ्यः पूर्वमजायत। गुहां प्रविश्य तिष्ठन्तं यो भूतेभिर्व्यपश्यत। एतद्वै तत्॥
yaḥ pūrvaṃ tapaso jātamadbhyaḥ pūrvamajāyata | guhāṃ praviśya tiṣṭhantaṃ yo bhūtebhirvyapaśyat | etadvai tat ||
""That which was born before cosmic heat, born before the waters, which entered the cave and dwells there, which is seen through beings - This verily is That.""
What This Means:
The Self existed before creation itself - before heat, before water, before anything. It entered the heart-cave and can be seen through all creatures.
Going Deeper:
This establishes the primordial nature of Atman - not created, but the source from which creation emerged.
How To Apply This:
You are not a product of creation. Your essence precedes the universe itself.
