Katha Upanishad 4.3

येन रूपं रसं गन्धं शब्दान्स्पर्शांश्च मैथुनान्। एतेनैव विजानाति किमत्र परिशिष्यते। एतद्वै तत्॥
yena rūpaṃ rasaṃ gandhaṃ śabdānsparśāṃśca maithunān | etenaiva vijānāti kimatra pariśiṣyate | etadvai tat ||
""That by which one perceives form, taste, smell, sound, touch, and the pleasures of love - by that alone one knows. What remains here that is not this? This verily is That.""
What This Means:
The same consciousness that perceives all sensations is the Self you're looking for. What is there besides this awareness? This is Brahman.
Going Deeper:
"Etad vai tat" - This indeed is That. The perceiving awareness is itself the supreme Reality you seek.
How To Apply This:
The awareness reading these words - that's what you're seeking. It was never lost.
