aṇoraṇīyānmahato mahīyānātmāsya jantornihito guhāyām | tamakratuḥ paśyati vītaśoko dhātuḥ prasādānmahimānamātmanaḥ ||
""Subtler than the subtle, greater than the great, the Self is hidden in the heart of every creature. One who is free from desires, with mind and senses calmed, sees the glory of the Self through the grace of the Creator.""
What This Means:
The Self is smaller than the smallest and greater than the greatest - it's in every being's heart. One sees it when desires cease and the mind is calm.
Going Deeper:
This verse emphasizes that realization comes through grace (prasada) and through becoming free from craving (akratu).
How To Apply This:
To see the Self, calm your desires and senses. Grace flows when you prepare the ground.
