"Yama said: "That goal which all the Vedas proclaim, which all austerities declare, desiring which people practice brahmacharya - that goal I tell you briefly: it is OM.""

What This Means:

Everything in Vedic spirituality points to one goal. All practices aim at one thing. Yama reveals it in one word: OM.

Going Deeper:

OM (AUM) is the sonic symbol of Brahman, the Absolute. It encapsulates all teachings in a single syllable.

How To Apply This:

Begin meditating on OM. This one syllable contains the goal of all spiritual practice.
