""These cows have drunk their last water, eaten their last grass, given their last milk, and are barren. Joyless are the worlds to which he goes who gives such gifts.""

What This Means:

Nachiketa noticed his father was giving away old, useless cows - not truly sacrificing anything valuable. This was not real generosity.

Going Deeper:

The boy perceives that hollow ritual without genuine sacrifice leads to hollow results. True giving requires giving what costs us something.

How To Apply This:

When you give or serve, give your best - not your leftovers. Real sacrifice transforms the giver.
