""Speech is greater than name. Speech makes known the Vedas. Through speech Brahman is known. Meditate on speech as Brahman.""

What This Means:

Speech (vak) is greater than name, because speech reveals the Vedas. Meditate on speech as Brahman.

Going Deeper:

The progression: name < speech. Speech is the vehicle of knowledge. But there's more beyond.

How To Apply This:

Honor the power of speech. It reveals knowledge. But seek what is beyond speech.
