""Prana (life-breath) is greater than food. Prana consumes food. Meditate on prana as Brahman.""

What This Means:

Life-breath is greater than food because prana digests and utilizes food. Without prana, food is useless.

Going Deeper:

The progression: food < prana. The vital force is more fundamental than its fuel.

How To Apply This:

Honor the life-breath. It transforms food into life. Prana is more essential than food.
