""Understanding (vijnana) is greater than meditation. Through understanding one knows the Vedas. Meditate on understanding as Brahman.""

What This Means:

Understanding/discernment is greater than meditation. Through understanding, true knowledge arises. Meditate on understanding.

Going Deeper:

The progression: meditation < understanding. Vijnana is direct knowing, discrimination, insight.

How To Apply This:

Develop understanding, not just meditation. Seek direct insight and discernment.
