ātmā vā are draṣṭavyaḥ śrotavyo mantavyo nididhyāsitavyaḥ | maitreyi ātmano vā are darśanena śravaṇena matyā vijñānenedaṃ sarvaṃ viditam ||

""The Self, O Maitreyi, should be seen, should be heard, should be reflected upon, should be deeply meditated on. By seeing, hearing, reflecting, and knowing the Self, all this is known.""

What This Means:

See the Self, hear about it, reflect on it, meditate deeply on it. Through knowing the Self, everything is known.

Going Deeper:

This is the Vedantic methodology: shravana (hearing), manana (reflection), nididhyasana (deep meditation). The result: knowing all.

How To Apply This:

Follow the path: hear the teaching, reflect on it, meditate deeply. By knowing Self, know all.
