स होवाच याज्ञवल्क्यः प्रिया बतारे नः सती प्रियं भाषसे। एहि उपविश व्याख्यास्यामि ते। व्याचक्षाणस्य तु मे निदिध्यासस्वेति॥

sa hovāca yājñavalkyaḥ priyā batāre naḥ satī priyaṃ bhāṣase | ehi upaviśa vyākhyāsyāmi te | vyācakṣāṇasya tu me nididhyāsasveti ||

"Yajnavalkya said: "Dear one, you were dear to me before, and now you say what is dear. Come, sit. I will explain to you. While I am explaining, reflect on it.""

What This Means:

Yajnavalkya is pleased: You were dear, now even dearer for asking this. Sit down, I'll explain. But you must reflect deeply on it.

Going Deeper:

The teacher recognizes the student's readiness. The instruction to nididhyasana (deep meditation) is already given.

How To Apply This:

When receiving wisdom, reflect deeply. Don't just hear - contemplate, internalize.
