तस्मादिदमर्धबृगलमिव स्वः इति ह स्माह याज्ञवल्क्यः। तस्मादयमाकाशः स्त्रिया पूर्यत एव। तां समभवत्। ततो मनुष्या अजायन्त॥

tasmādidamardhabhṛgalamiva svaḥ iti ha smāha yājñavalkyaḥ | tasmādayamākāśaḥ striyā pūryata eva | tāṃ samabhavat | tato manuṣyā ajāyanta ||

"Therefore this body is like half of a split pea, as Yajnavalkya said. Therefore this space is filled by woman. He united with her, and from that humans were born."

What This Means:

Each person is half of a whole - like a split pea. Men and women unite, and humanity is born.

Going Deeper:

Yajnavalkya is quoted, establishing his authority. Each being is incomplete without its complement.

How To Apply This:

You are half of a whole. The longing for union reflects the original wholeness.
