"This was spoken by the sage: "While still in the womb, I knew all the births of these gods. A hundred iron fortresses held me, but I flew forth swiftly like a hawk." Vamadeva spoke thus while still lying in the womb."

What This Means:

The sage Vamadeva realized his true nature while still in the womb. He declared that he knew all the divine births and that despite a hundred obstacles (iron fortresses), he flew free like a hawk. Enlightenment transcends physical limitations.

Going Deeper:

This is a remarkable claim: full Self-realization while still unborn. The "iron fortresses" represent the bondage of bodies through countless births. But the awakened one escapes like a swift hawk. Physical circumstances don't limit consciousness.

How To Apply This:

You don't need perfect circumstances to awaken. Vamadeva realized truth in the womb. Your current situation — however confining it seems — cannot imprison the Self that you are.
