Gita 9.17
पिताहमस्य जगतो माता धाता पितामहः।
वेद्यं पवित्रमोङ्कार ऋक्साम यजुरेव च।।
pitāham asya jagato mātā dhātā pitāmahaḥ vedyaṁ pavitram oṁkāra ṛk sāma yajur eva ca
"I am the father of this universe, the mother, the supporter, and the grandsire. I am the object of knowledge, the purifier, the syllable Om, and the Rig, Sama, and Yajur Vedas."
What This Means:
Krishna is father, mother, sustainer, and ancestor of the universe. He is what's to be known, what purifies, the sound Om, and all three Vedas. Every family role and every sacred text points to Him.
Going Deeper:
Father and mother—both masculine and feminine principles originate in Krishna. The Vedas—humanity's recorded quest for truth—are expressions of Him. Whatever we seek, we're seeking Him.
How To Apply This:
Your father's love, your mother's nurture, your spiritual texts—all are forms of divine presence reaching toward you. Receive them as such, even with their imperfections.
