Gita 7.26
वेदाहं समतीतानि वर्तमानानि चार्जुन।
भविष्याणि च भूतानि मां तु वेद न कश्चन।।
vedāhaṁ samatītāni vartamānāni cārjuna bhaviṣyāṇi ca bhūtāni māṁ tu veda na kaścana
"I know all beings—past, present, and future, O Arjuna—but no one knows Me."
What This Means:
Krishna knows every being across all time—past, present, future. But almost no one truly knows Him. The knowledge is asymmetric: He knows all; all don't know Him.
Going Deeper:
This establishes Krishna's omniscience while acknowledging the rarity of knowing Him. God knows you completely; your knowing God is the work of spiritual life. The relationship is inherently asymmetric.
How To Apply This:
You are completely known by the Divine—every thought, every struggle, every aspiration. Nothing is hidden. This can be scary or comforting, depending on how you relate to it. Let it be comforting.
