Gita 4.42
तस्मादज्ञानसम्भूतं हृत्स्थं ज्ञानासिनात्मनः। छित्त्वैनं संशयं योगमातिष्ठोत्तिष्ठ भारत।।

tasmād ajñāna-sambhūtaṁ hṛt-sthaṁ jñānāsinātmanaḥ chittvainaṁ saṁśayaṁ yogam ātiṣṭhottiṣṭha bhārata

"Therefore, with the sword of knowledge, cut this doubt born of ignorance dwelling in your heart. Take refuge in yoga and arise, O Arjuna!"

What This Means:

Krishna's conclusion: Take the sword of Self-knowledge and cut the doubt that's stuck in your heart—doubt born from ignorance. Establish yourself in yoga. Stand up and act! This is the call to decisive action based on understanding.

Going Deeper:

'Jnana-asi' (sword of knowledge) is the weapon. 'Hrit-stha' (dwelling in the heart) locates the enemy—doubt isn't intellectual but lodged deep. 'Ajnana-sambhuta' (born of ignorance) identifies the source. 'Yoga' (union) is the stance. 'Uttishtha' (arise!) echoes Krishna's call to Arjuna throughout—stop wavering and act. The chapter ends with a battle cry: armed with knowledge, cut doubt, take your stand, and fight.

How To Apply This:

Stop letting doubt keep you sitting. You've received knowledge—now use it. Cut through the hesitation in your heart. Take a yogic stance (balanced, centered, connected to Self) and rise to whatever your life is asking of you. The time for endless deliberation is over. Act!
