Gita 4.32
एवं बहुविधा यज्ञा वितता ब्रह्मणो मुखे। कर्मजान्विद्धि तान्सर्वानेवं ज्ञात्वा विमोक्ष्यसे।।

evaṁ bahu-vidhā yajñā vitatā brahmaṇo mukhe karma-jān viddhi tān sarvān evaṁ jñātvā vimokṣyase

"Thus many kinds of sacrifice are spread out in the Vedas. Know them all to be born of action. Knowing this, you will be liberated."

What This Means:

Many different types of sacrifice have been described (in the Vedas and by Krishna). They all emerge from action. Understanding this—that action can be sacrifice, that sacrifice purifies—you will be liberated.

Going Deeper:

'Bahu-vidha' (many kinds) acknowledges diversity of paths. 'Brahmano mukhe' (in the mouth/word of Brahman, i.e., the Vedas) gives scriptural authority. 'Karma-jan' (born of action) is crucial: all yajna involves some form of doing. Even jnana yajna requires the 'action' of inquiry and contemplation. Liberation comes through understanding, not through picking the 'right' form of sacrifice.

How To Apply This:

Don't get lost in comparing paths or feeling you're on the wrong one. All sincere spiritual practice is sacrifice; all sacrifice is action; all conscious action can liberate. Understand this principle, then commit to your path. The understanding itself begins the liberation.
