Gita 2.10
तमुवाच हृषीकेशः प्रहसन्निव भारत। सेनयोरुभयोर्मध्ये विषीदन्तमिदं वचः।।

tam uvāca hṛṣīkeśaḥ prahasann iva bhārata senayoḥ ubhayor madhye viṣīdantam idaṁ vacaḥ

"O Dhritarashtra, then Krishna, with a smile, spoke these words to the grieving Arjuna, there between the two armies."

What This Means:

Krishna responds—and he's smiling. Not mocking, but the smile of someone who sees the bigger picture. While Arjuna sees only tragedy, Krishna sees an opportunity for profound teaching. He's about to transform this crisis into enlightenment.

Going Deeper:

The word 'prahasann iva' (as if smiling) is beautiful. Krishna isn't laughing at Arjuna's pain—he's smiling because he knows this confusion will lead to liberation. The greatest teachings often emerge from our darkest moments. What seems like a curse becomes a blessing.

How To Apply This:

When you're struggling and someone wiser remains calm, don't resent their peace—learn from it. They see something you don't. Your crisis might be the doorway to your greatest growth. Trust the process.

Key Sanskrit Terms:
