yataḥ pravṛttir bhūtānāṁ yena sarvam idaṁ tatam sva-karmaṇā tam abhyarcya siddhiṁ vindati mānavaḥ
"From whom all beings arise and by whom all this is pervaded—worshipping Him through one's own duty, a person attains perfection."
What This Means:
The Divine is the source of all beings and pervades everything. By performing your natural work as worship of this Divine, you achieve spiritual perfection.
Going Deeper:
This transforms all work into worship. 'Yatah pravrittih bhutanam' - from whom all activity arises; 'yena sarvam idam tatam' - by whom all this is pervaded. Recognizing the Divine as source and substance of all, your work becomes offering (abhyarcya). 'Svakarma' as worship is the synthesis of karma and bhakti yoga.
How To Apply This:
See your work as service to the Divine who pervades all. Whatever your job, perform it as an offering. This attitude transforms mundane work into spiritual practice.
