niścayaṁ śṛṇu me tatra tyāge bharata-sattama tyāgo hi puruṣa-vyāghra tri-vidhaḥ samprakīrtitaḥ
"Hear from Me the conclusion about tyaga, O best of the Bharatas. Tyaga, O tiger among men, has been declared to be of three kinds."
What This Means:
Krishna says He will now give the final answer about relinquishment. There are three types of tyaga (giving up), based on the three gunas.
