Gita 16.7
प्रवृत्तिं च निवृत्तिं च जना न विदुरासुराः। न शौचं नापि चाचारो न सत्यं तेषु विद्यते॥

pravṛttiṁ ca nivṛttiṁ ca janā na vidur āsurāḥ na śaucaṁ nāpi cācāro na satyaṁ teṣu vidyate

"The demonic know not what to do and what to refrain from; neither purity, nor right conduct, nor truth is found in them."

What This Means:

Demonic-natured people don't know right action from wrong action. They lack purity, proper conduct, and truthfulness. They've lost their moral compass.

Going Deeper:

'Pravṛttim ca nivṛttim ca na viduḥ'—they don't know activity (what to do) and abstinence (what to avoid). This fundamental confusion marks the demonic. 'Na śaucam'—no purity. 'Na ācāraḥ'—no right conduct. 'Na satyam'—no truth. Three absences: cleanliness, behavior, honesty. Without these, ethical life is impossible.

How To Apply This:

The demonic state is characterized by moral confusion—not knowing right from wrong. Maintain clarity about what to do and what to avoid. When confused, consult conscience, scripture, and wise guides.
