Gita 15.7
ममैवांशो जीवलोके जीवभूतः सनातनः। मनःषष्ठानीन्द्रियाणि प्रकृतिस्थानि कर्षति॥

mamaivāṁśo jīva-loke jīva-bhūtaḥ sanātanaḥ manaḥ-ṣaṣṭhānīndriyāṇi prakṛti-sthāni karṣati

"An eternal portion of Myself, having become a living soul in the world of life, draws to itself the senses with the mind as the sixth, which abide in prakriti."

What This Means:

Every individual soul is an eternal fragment of God. When this divine spark enters the world, it attracts to itself a mind and five senses from prakriti (nature), like a magnet attracting iron filings.

Going Deeper:

'Mama eva aṁśaḥ'—a portion of Me alone. 'Jīva-bhūtaḥ sanātanaḥ'—having become an eternal living being. The individual soul (jiva) is an eternal portion of God—not created, not temporary. 'Manaḥ-ṣaṣṭhāni indriyāṇi karṣati'—draws the senses with mind as sixth (mind plus five senses). 'Prakṛti-sthāni'—which exist in prakriti. The soul attracts its instruments from nature.

How To Apply This:

You are an eternal portion of the Divine—not a mistake, not a punishment, but a divine fragment. Your mind and senses are borrowed instruments, not your true self. Remember your divine origin when you feel small.
