Chapter 10: Divine Manifestations

42 / 42
Gita 10.42
अथवा बहुनैतेन किं ज्ञातेन तवार्जुन। विष्टभ्याहमिदं कृत्स्नमेकांशेन स्थितो जगत्।।

atha vā bahunaitena kiṁ jñātena tavārjuna viṣṭabhyāham idaṁ kṛtsnam ekāṁśena sthito jagat

"But what need is there for all this detailed knowledge, Arjuna? I support this entire universe with a single fragment of Myself."

What This Means:

Krishna concludes: why all these details? The simple truth is that He supports the ENTIRE universe with just ONE FRAGMENT of Himself. One part sustains everything. The rest remains beyond imagination.

Going Deeper:

This final verse puts everything in perspective. All the vibhutis combined, all creation sustained—by ONE portion. What lies in the other portions? The mind can't grasp it. Just marvel and surrender.

How To Apply This:

When you feel small before the vastness of existence, remember: that vastness is ONE FRACTION of the Divine. The source of all this is immeasurably greater. Let awe replace anxiety.
