Gita 10.34
मृत्युः सर्वहरश्चाहमुद्भवश्च भविष्यताम्।
कीर्तिः श्रीर्वाक्च नारीणां स्मृतिर्मेधा धृतिः क्षमा।।
mṛtyuḥ sarva-haraś cāham udbhavaś ca bhaviṣyatām kīrtiḥ śrīr vāk ca nārīṇāṁ smṛtir medhā dhṛtiḥ kṣamā
"I am all-devouring death; I am the origin of future things; among feminine qualities I am fame, prosperity, speech, memory, intelligence, steadfastness, and patience."
What This Means:
Krishna is death (that takes everything) AND the source of future becoming. Among feminine qualities—fame, fortune, speech, memory, intelligence, determination, and patience.
Going Deeper:
Death 'takes all' (sarva-hara) but Krishna is also the source of what comes next. The feminine qualities listed are personified as goddesses in Hindu tradition—divine powers in feminine form.
How To Apply This:
Death isn't opposed to divinity—it IS divine. And feminine qualities like patience, memory, and intelligence are sacred powers. Honor these qualities wherever you find them.
