Gita 10.29
अनन्तश्चास्मि नागानां वरुणो यादसामहम्।
पितॄणामर्यमा चास्मि यमः संयमतामहम्।।
anantaś cāsmi nāgānāṁ varuṇo yādasām aham pitṝṇām aryamā cāsmi yamaḥ saṁyamatām aham
"Among the Nagas I am Ananta; among water deities, Varuna; among ancestors, Aryama; and among controllers, I am Yama."
What This Means:
Among serpent beings—Ananta (the infinite serpent on whom Vishnu reclines). Among water gods—Varuna. Among ancestors—Aryama. Among those who regulate—Yama (lord of death and dharma).
Going Deeper:
Ananta means 'endless'—the serpent of infinity supporting existence. And Yama, often feared, is actually the lord of dharma, ensuring cosmic justice. Death serves divine order.
How To Apply This:
Even death (Yama) is a divine manifestation serving order. Instead of fearing death, recognize it as part of the sacred system. What you fear might be divine in function.
