Gita 10.24
पुरोधसां च मुख्यं मां विद्धि पार्थ बृहस्पतिम्।
सेनानीनामहं स्कन्दः सरसामस्मि सागरः।।
purodhasāṁ ca mukhyaṁ māṁ viddhi pārtha bṛhaspatim senānīnām ahaṁ skandaḥ sarasām asmi sāgaraḥ
"Among priests, know Me to be the chief, Brihaspati; among warriors, I am Skanda; and among bodies of water, I am the ocean."
What This Means:
Among priests—Brihaspati (guru of gods). Among military commanders—Skanda (son of Shiva, war god). Among waters—the ocean.
Going Deeper:
Each profession or category has its divine peak: the greatest priest, the greatest general, the greatest water body. Wherever excellence peaks, Krishna is visible.
How To Apply This:
In your field, who represents the highest? That excellence is a mirror of the Divine. And aspiring toward excellence in your domain is a form of approaching the Divine.
