Gita 10.2
न मे विदुः सुरगणाः प्रभवं न महर्षयः। अहमादिर्हि देवानां महर्षीणां च सर्वशः।।

na me viduḥ sura-gaṇāḥ prabhavaṁ na maharṣayaḥ aham ādir hi devānāṁ maharṣīṇāṁ ca sarvaśaḥ

"Neither the hosts of gods nor the great sages know My origin, for I am the source of all the gods and great sages in every way."

What This Means:

Even the gods and great sages don't know Krishna's origin—because HE is THEIR origin. You can't trace the source by asking those who came from the source.

Going Deeper:

This establishes Krishna's absolute primordiality. The gods are ancient; the sages are wise. Yet they're all downstream from Krishna. The origin precedes all origins.

How To Apply This:

The ultimate can't be figured out by those within it. Humility is required—the mind trying to grasp its source is like an eye trying to see itself directly.

Key Sanskrit Terms:

Sura-gaṇa= Hosts of godsMaharṣi= Great sagesPrabhava= Origin
