Gita 10.11
तेषामेवानुकम्पार्थमहमज्ञानजं तमः।
नाशयाम्यात्मभावस्थो ज्ञानदीपेन भास्वता।।
teṣām evānukampārtham aham ajñāna-jaṁ tamaḥ nāśayāmy ātma-bhāva-stho jñāna-dīpena bhāsvatā
"Out of compassion for them alone, I, dwelling in their hearts, destroy the darkness born of ignorance with the shining lamp of knowledge."
What This Means:
Moved by compassion (anukamapartham), Krishna—dwelling within (atma-bhavastho)—destroys the darkness of ignorance with the lamp of knowledge. He's inside, shining light from within.
Going Deeper:
The light isn't external information but inner illumination. Krishna dwells in the heart and kindles understanding from there. The lamp is 'bhasvata' (shining)—once lit, it dispels darkness naturally.
How To Apply This:
The teacher is already within you. Your seeking creates conditions; the inner light does the illuminating. Trust the process—darkness can't survive genuine inner light.
