Gita 1.3
पश्यैतां पाण्डुपुत्राणामाचार्य महतीं चमूम्। व्यूढां द्रुपदपुत्रेण तव शिष्येण धीमता।।

paśyaitāṁ pāṇḍu-putrāṇām ācārya mahatīṁ camūm vyūḍhāṁ drupada-putreṇa tava śiṣyeṇa dhīmatā

"Behold, O teacher, this mighty army of the sons of Pandu, arranged by your intelligent disciple, the son of Drupada."

What This Means:

Duryodhana points out that the Pandava army was organized by Dhrishtadyumna—Drona's own student! He's essentially saying: 'Look, your student is now fighting against you.' This is a subtle manipulation to provoke Drona.

Going Deeper:

This verse highlights the tragedy of this war—teachers fighting students, family against family. Duryodhana uses this to stir Drona's emotions, hoping anger or hurt will make him fight harder.

How To Apply This:

Notice when someone is trying to manipulate your emotions by pointing out betrayals or slights. Duryodhana is skilled at pushing buttons. Stay aware of when others (or your own mind) use similar tactics.
