Verse 7
intermediate
उपैतु मां देवसखः कीर्तिश्च मणिना सह । प्रादुर्भूतोऽस्मि राष्ट्रेऽस्मिन्कीर्तिमृद्धिं ददातु मे ॥

upaitu māṃ devasakhaḥ kīrtiś ca maṇinā saha | prādurbhūto 'smi rāṣṭre 'smin kīrtim ṛddhiṃ dadātu me ||

May the friend of the gods (Kubera) come to me, along with fame and jewels. I have manifested in this kingdom — may he grant me fame and prosperity.

What This Means:

This verse invokes Kubera, the god of wealth and "friend of the gods" (devasakha). Fame (kīrti) and jewels (maṇi) accompany him. The worshipper declares their presence in the realm and asks for both reputation and material prosperity.

Going Deeper:

Kubera represents organized, established wealth — he is the divine treasurer. "Prādurbhūto'smi" (I have manifested) is a powerful declaration of presence and worthiness. Fame (kīrti) and prosperity (ṛddhi) are both requested — spiritual and material success together.

How To Apply This:

Declare your presence with confidence. Ask for both reputation and resources — they support each other. The "friend of the gods" represents networked wealth, prosperity through connection.
