चन्द्रमा मनसो जातश्चक्षोः सूर्यो अजायत । मुखादिन्द्रश्चाग्निश्च प्राणाद्वायुरजायत ॥

candramā manaso jātaścakṣoḥ sūryo ajāyata | mukhādindraścāgniśca prāṇādvāyurajāyata ||

The Moon was born from his mind; from his eye the Sun was born. From his mouth came Indra and Agni; from his breath Vayu (wind) was born.

What This Means:

Purusha's inner faculties became cosmic powers: his mind became the Moon, his eye the Sun, his mouth produced Indra (king of gods) and Agni (fire), and his breath became Vayu (wind). The macrocosm mirrors the microcosm.

Going Deeper:

This establishes correspondence between human faculties and cosmic forces. Your mind is lunar (reflective, changing), your perception is solar (illuminating), your speech can be powerful like Indra or transformative like fire, your breath is the same wind that moves through all creation.

How To Apply This:

You carry cosmic powers within you. Your mind reflects like the moon, your awareness illuminates like the sun, your words carry the power of gods. Use these powers consciously and reverently.
