"Having taught the Vedas, the teacher instructs the student: Speak the truth. Practice dharma. Do not neglect self-study. Having brought the teacher his dear fee, do not cut off the line of descendants. Do not neglect truth. Do not neglect dharma. Do not neglect welfare. Do not neglect prosperity. Do not neglect study and teaching."
What This Means:
This is the famous graduation address. The teacher gives final instructions: be truthful, be righteous, keep studying, continue the family line, and maintain all duties.
Going Deeper:
The convocation address balances spiritual and worldly duties. Truth and dharma lead, but family, prosperity, and ongoing learning are also emphasized.
How To Apply This:
Integrate these instructions into daily life: speak truth, practice dharma, keep learning, maintain family, pursue prosperity wisely.
