यो ब्रह्माणं विदधाति पूर्वं यो वै वेदांश्च प्रहिणोति तस्मै। तं ह देवमात्मबुद्धिप्रकाशं मुमुक्षुर्वै शरणमहं प्रपद्ये॥
yo brahmāṇaṃ vidadhāti pūrvaṃ yo vai vedāṃśca prahiṇoti tasmai | taṃ ha devamātmabuddhiprakāśaṃ mumukṣurvai śaraṇamahaṃ prapadye ||
"He who in the beginning created Brahma and who delivered the Vedas to Him - to that God who illumines the Self and intellect, I, desiring liberation, take refuge."
What This Means:
God created even Brahma the creator and gave him the Vedas. I, seeking liberation, take refuge in that God who illumines Self and intellect.
Going Deeper:
Sharanagati (surrender/refuge) is explicitly taught. Even the mumukshu (liberation-seeker) needs grace. God is the source of both creation and revelation.
How To Apply This:
Take refuge in God with a sincere desire for liberation. This surrender opens the door to grace.
