"Through thoughts, touch, sight, and delusion, through food, water, and rain, the embodied soul grows and takes birth. Following its actions, the soul successively assumes forms in various places."
What This Means:
Through mental activity, sense contact, delusion, nourishment - the soul grows, is born, and takes various forms in sequence, following its karma.
Going Deeper:
The mechanics of rebirth: mental tendencies (samkalpa) combined with physical elements lead to embodiment. Karma determines the sequence.
How To Apply This:
Understand how thoughts and actions lead to future embodiments. What you think and do creates your next body.
