यो देवो अग्नौ यो अप्सु यो विश्वं भुवनमाविवेश। य ओषधीषु यो वनस्पतिषु तस्मै देवाय नमो नमः॥
yo devo agnau yo apsu yo viśvaṃ bhuvanamāviveśa | ya oṣadhīṣu yo vanaspatiṣu tasmai devāya namo namaḥ ||
"The God who is in fire, who is in water, who has entered the whole world, who is in herbs, who is in trees - to that God, salutations again and again!"
What This Means:
God is present in fire, water, the entire world, plants, and trees. The seeker offers repeated salutations to this all-pervading presence.
Going Deeper:
This verse expresses panentheism - God is in everything yet transcends it. The five elements (fire, water representing all) contain the divine.
How To Apply This:
Offer respect to the divine in nature - in fire, water, plants, trees. See God in the natural world.
