नायमात्मा बलहीनेन लभ्यो न च प्रमादात्तपसो वाप्यलिङ्गात्। एतैरुपायैर्यतते यस्तु विद्वांस्तस्यैष आत्मा विशते ब्रह्मधाम॥

nāyamātmā balahīnena labhyo na ca pramādāttapaso vāpyaliṅgāt | etairupāyairyatate yastu vidvāṃstasyaiṣa ātmā viśate brahmadhāma ||

"This Self is not attained by the weak, nor by the careless, nor by false austerity. But the Self of the wise one who strives by these means enters the abode of Brahman."

What This Means:

The Self isn't for the weak, lazy, or fake ascetic. But for the wise one who makes genuine effort, the Self enters Brahman's abode.

Going Deeper:

Balance: not by effort alone (grace is needed), but not without effort either. Strength, alertness, and authentic practice are required.

How To Apply This:

Be strong, alert, and genuine. Effort is required, even if final realization is grace.
