"On the same tree, the individual soul, immersed and bewildered, grieves due to helplessness. But when it sees the other, the Lord, and His glory, then it becomes free from sorrow."
What This Means:
On the same tree, one bird (the soul) is lost in eating and suffers. When it looks up and sees the other bird (the Lord) and its glory, sorrow ends.
Going Deeper:
The cure for suffering is simply to shift attention from experiencing to witnessing - to see the ever-free Self that is our true nature.
How To Apply This:
When suffering, look up. See the witness within you. Its glory ends sorrow.
