मनोमयः प्राणशरीरनेता प्रतिष्ठितोऽन्ने हृदयं संनिधाय। तद्विज्ञानेन परिपश्यन्ति धीरा आनन्दरूपममृतं यद्विभाति॥

manomayaḥ prāṇaśarīranetā pratiṣṭhito'nne hṛdayaṃ saṃnidhāya | tadvijñānena paripaśyanti dhīrā ānandarūpamamṛtaṃ yadvibhāti ||

"Made of mind, leader of the vital breath and body, established in food, resting in the heart - the wise, through knowledge, perceive that blissful, immortal one shining."

What This Means:

The Self appears as made of mind, directing breath and body, sustained by food, dwelling in the heart. The wise see it as blissful and immortal, shining.

Going Deeper:

Though the Self appears through mind-body, it is really bliss (ananda) and immortality. Wisdom reveals its true nature.

How To Apply This:

Behind your mind and body, perceive the blissful, immortal Self that shines.
