इष्टापूर्तं मन्यमाना वरिष्ठं नान्यच्छ्रेयो वेदयन्ते प्रमूढाः। नाकस्य पृष्ठे ते सुकृतेऽनुभूत्वेमं लोकं हीनतरं वा विशन्ति॥

iṣṭāpūrtaṃ manyamānā variṣṭhaṃ nānyacchreyo vedayante pramūḍhāḥ | nākasya pṛṣṭhe te sukṛte'nubhūtvemaṃ lokaṃ hīnataraṃ vā viśanti ||

"Thinking that sacrifices and charitable works are the highest, the deluded know nothing better. Having enjoyed their merit on heaven's heights, they enter this world or a lower one."

What This Means:

Those who think ritual and charity are the ultimate achievement enjoy heaven temporarily, then return to earth or worse.

Going Deeper:

Even the highest heavens are not permanent. The cycle continues until liberating knowledge is gained.

How To Apply This:

Charity and worship are good but not sufficient. Seek knowledge that ends the cycle.
