तस्मिंस्त्वयि किं वीर्यमित्यपीदं सर्वं दहेयं यदिदं पृथिव्यामिति ॥

tasmiṁs tvayi kiṁ vīryam ity apīdaṁ sarvaṁ daheyaṁ yad idaṁ pṛthivyām iti ||

""What power do you have?" the Yaksha asked. "I can burn everything on earth," Agni replied."

What This Means:

The Yaksha asked about Agni's power. Fire proudly declared he could burn anything in the world. His power seemed unlimited.

Going Deeper:

Agni identifies with his power as if it were his own independent ability. But power borrowed from Brahman is not truly independent. The test will reveal this.

How To Apply This:

We all have abilities we're proud of. But try this: can you think without consciousness? Can you act without life force? Your powers depend on something you didn't create and can't fully control.

Key Sanskrit Terms:

Vīryam= Power, strengthDaheyam= I could burnPṛthivyām= On earth
