नित्योऽनित्यानां चेतनश्चेतनानामेको बहूनां यो विदधाति कामान्। तमात्मस्थं येऽनुपश्यन्ति धीरास्तेषां शान्तिः शाश्वती नेतरेषाम्॥

nityo'nityānāṃ cetanaścetanānāmeko bahūnāṃ yo vidadhāti kāmān | tamātmasthaṃ ye'nupaśyanti dhīrāsteṣāṃ śāntiḥ śāśvatī netareṣām ||

""The eternal among the non-eternal, the conscious among the conscious, the one among many, who fulfills desires - to the wise who see Him in their own selves belongs eternal peace, not to others.""

What This Means:

Among all impermanent things, the Self is permanent. Among all conscious beings, it is the source of consciousness. Those who see it within themselves find eternal peace.

Going Deeper:

This verse is almost identical to the previous one but emphasizes "shanti" (peace) rather than "sukha" (happiness).

How To Apply This:

Seek the one permanent thing among impermanent things. That's where lasting peace is found.
