""The wise should merge speech into mind, mind into the knowing self, the knowing self into the great Self, and that into the peaceful Self.""

What This Means:

A meditation instruction: withdraw speech into mind, mind into intellect, intellect into the cosmic Self, and that into pure peaceful Awareness.

Going Deeper:

This describes the process of progressive interiorization - withdrawing from gross to subtle to subtlest.

How To Apply This:

In meditation, progressively withdraw: from outer speech, to inner thought, to pure awareness, to peace.
