ye ye kāmā durlabhā martyaloke sarvānkāmāṃśchandataḥ prārthayasva | imā rāmāḥ sarathāḥ satūryā na hīdṛśā lambhanīyā manuṣyaiḥ | ābhirmatprattābhiḥ paricārayasva naciketo maraṇaṃ mānuprākṣīḥ ||

""Whatever desires are hard to obtain in the mortal world, ask for all of them according to your wish. These celestial nymphs with chariots and musical instruments - such are not obtainable by mortals. Be served by these whom I give you, O Nachiketa! Do not ask about death.""

What This Means:

Yama offers heavenly pleasures - celestial maidens, divine music, pleasures beyond human imagination. "Just don't ask about death!"

Going Deeper:

This is the final, most seductive temptation - not just earthly but heavenly pleasures. Yama tries everything to distract him.

How To Apply This:

Even spiritual seekers can be distracted by subtle pleasures. Stay focused on what truly matters.
