Gita 9.28
शुभाशुभफलैरेवं मोक्ष्यसे कर्मबन्धनैः। संन्यासयोगयुक्तात्मा विमुक्तो मामुपैष्यसि।।

śubhāśubha-phalair evaṁ mokṣyase karma-bandhanaiḥ sannyāsa-yoga-yuktātmā vimukto mām upaiṣyasi

"Thus you will be freed from the bondage of action and its good and bad results. With your mind disciplined by the yoga of renunciation, you will be liberated and come to Me."

What This Means:

By offering everything to Krishna, you're freed from karma—both good and bad results. Your mind, trained in this 'sannyasa-yoga' (renunciation through offering), becomes liberated and reaches Krishna.

Going Deeper:

Usually good karma binds as much as bad (just to better circumstances). But karma offered to Krishna doesn't bind at all. The action happens, but no chain forms. Freedom through dedication, not through inaction.

How To Apply This:

Don't aim for only 'good' actions—aim to offer ALL actions. Even 'bad' results offered become pathways. The goal isn't perfect action but dedicated action.

Key Sanskrit Terms:

Śubha-aśubha phala= Good and bad fruitsKarma-bandhana= Bondage of actionSannyāsa-yoga= Yoga of renunciation/dedication
