Gita 9.1
श्रीभगवानुवाच। इदं तु ते गुह्यतमं प्रवक्ष्याम्यनसूयवे। ज्ञानं विज्ञानसहितं यज्ज्ञात्वा मोक्ष्यसेऽशुभात्।।

śrī-bhagavān uvāca idaṁ tu te guhyatamaṁ pravakṣyāmy anasūyave jñānaṁ vijñāna-sahitaṁ yaj jñātvā mokṣyase 'śubhāt

"The Supreme Lord said: To you who are without envy, I shall now reveal this most secret knowledge combined with realization, knowing which you will be freed from all misfortune."

What This Means:

Krishna offers Arjuna the 'most secret' knowledge (guhyatamam)—more confidential than what came before. But there's a condition: it's given to one 'without envy' (anasuyave). Open-heartedness is required to receive deep truth.

Going Deeper:

Why must the recipient be 'anasuyave'? Because envy distorts perception. The envious person hears truth but twists it, sees good but resents it. Only the non-envious can receive wisdom clearly.

How To Apply This:

Before seeking deeper knowledge, examine your heart. Is there envy or resentment that might distort what you hear? The same teaching reaches different people differently based on their inner state.

Key Sanskrit Terms:

Guhyatama= Most secret, most confidentialAnasūyave= To one without envyAśubha= Misfortune, inauspiciousness
