Gita 8.4
अधिभूतं क्षरो भावः पुरुषश्चाधिदैवतम्।
अधियज्ञोऽहमेवात्र देहे देहभृतां वर।।
adhibhūtaṁ kṣaro bhāvaḥ puruṣaś cādhidaivatam adhiyajño 'ham evātra dehe deha-bhṛtāṁ vara
"The physical realm is perishable nature; the divine realm is the cosmic person. And the Lord of sacrifice is Me alone, here in this body, O best of embodied beings."
What This Means:
More definitions: Adhibhuta (physical) = everything that perishes. Adhidaiva (divine) = the cosmic being behind divine forces. Adhiyajna (Lord of sacrifice) = Krishna Himself, dwelling in every body.
Going Deeper:
The stunning revelation is the last part: Krishna is the adhiyajna, present in EVERY body. Every embodied being carries divinity within. The Lord of sacrifice isn't distant—He's your innermost presence.
How To Apply This:
The Divine isn't somewhere else—it's in this body, right now. You don't need to travel anywhere or become someone else. The Lord of all sacrifice is already present where you are.
