Gita 7.23
अन्तवत्तु फलं तेषां तद्भवत्यल्पमेधसाम्। देवान्देवयजो यान्ति मद्भक्ता यान्ति मामपि।।

antavat tu phalaṁ teṣāṁ tad bhavaty alpa-medhasām devān deva-yajo yānti mad-bhaktā yānti mām api

"But the fruit gained by these people of small intelligence is temporary. Worshippers of the gods go to the gods; My devotees come to Me."

What This Means:

The results of worshipping lesser gods are temporary—wealth, power, even heaven have an end. Those who worship devas go to devas; those who worship Krishna go to Krishna. The destination matches the devotion.

Going Deeper:

This isn't snobbery—it's physics of spirituality. You go where your attention is. Limited goals give limited results. Only infinite devotion to the infinite yields infinite result.

How To Apply This:

What are you aiming for? Temporary relief? Lasting transformation? The level of your aspiration determines the level of your result. Aim high—not out of greed, but out of recognition of your true potential.

Key Sanskrit Terms:

Antavat= Temporary, having an endAlpa-medhasa= Of small intelligenceDeva-yaja= Worshipper of gods
