Gita 3.29
प्रकृतेर्गुणसम्मूढाः सज्जन्ते गुणकर्मसु। तानकृत्स्नविदो मन्दान्कृत्स्नविन्न विचालयेत्।।

prakṛter guṇa-sammūḍhāḥ sajjante guṇa-karmasu tān akṛtsna-vido mandān kṛtsna-vin na vicālayet

"Those deluded by the gunas of nature become attached to the actions of the gunas. But the one who knows the whole truth should not disturb those dull-minded partial-knowers."

What This Means:

Most people are confused by the gunas—they think they're the doer and get attached to their actions. They only see part of the picture. The wise person who sees the whole truth shouldn't upset these people by revealing truths they can't handle.

Going Deeper:

'Akrtsna-vid' (partial knower) describes most humans—seeing action but not its source, seeing the body but not the Self. 'Krtsna-vid' (knower of the whole) sees the complete picture. Krishna repeats the caution from verse 26: don't destabilize partial-knowers. They need their illusions to function. Guide them gradually, don't shatter them.

How To Apply This:

Be gentle with people at different stages of understanding. Everyone has partial knowledge—including you. Don't be arrogant about what you've realized. And don't try to force profound truths on people whose lives would fall apart without their current beliefs. Wisdom includes knowing when not to speak.
