21 / 42
Gita 10.21
आदित्यानामहं विष्णुर्ज्योतिषां रविरंशुमान्। मरीचिर्मरुतामस्मि नक्षत्राणामहं शशी।।

ādityānām ahaṁ viṣṇur jyotiṣāṁ ravir aṁśumān marīcir marutām asmi nakṣatrāṇām ahaṁ śaśī

"Among the Adityas I am Vishnu; among luminaries, the radiant sun; among the Maruts I am Marichi; among the stars, I am the moon."

What This Means:

The pattern begins: among each category, Krishna is the most excellent example. Among solar deities—Vishnu. Among lights—the sun. Among storm gods—Marichi. Among celestial bodies—the moon.

Going Deeper:

Krishna trains perception: in every category, look for the most extraordinary. That's where the Divine is most visible. Excellence is a fingerprint of the Divine.

How To Apply This:

When you see something excellent in any field, recognize it as a glimpse of the Divine. The best athlete, the most beautiful sunset, the wisest teacher—all are windows.

Key Sanskrit Terms:

Āditya= Sons of Aditi, solar deitiesMarut= Storm godsNakṣatra= Stars, constellations
